Ceramic cookware has a lot of advantages and lasts for many years. It's also pretty forgiving when it comes to removing burned-on food. I personally like the patina that ceramic cookware builds as it ages so I allow some marks to stay (similar to seasoning a cast iron pan) – but if you’d like to restore it to its original state here’s how to deep clean your pots, while protecting their integrity.
Most cleaning requires only water and a sponge.
For deeper roasting cleaning: Fill the pot with water, add a few tablespoons of salt and allow it to sit overnight. If the food is still stuck on, try boiling the salt-water mixture for a few minutes. This should loosen up even the toughest food stains.
Drop in some baking soda and vinegar. Mix the two together with a little bit of water and let the entire mixture sit. Then clean the dish as usual.
